LCC & the Men's Mission

On Monday September 26 the LCC Department heads invaded Chef’s kitchen to begin preparations for Tuesdays visit to the Men’s Mission on York Street. The LCC team prepared food for approximately 200 patrons who require the services of the Men’s Mission. The delicious meal included: Beef stir fry with lots of healthy vegetables, rice also with vegetables, brocolli cheddar soup, mixed greens, french pastries and ice cream with chocolate and strawberry toppings. A big thanks to the Butcher shoppe for providing the meat and Gordon food services for providing the vegetables!

After preparing the meal, a team from the LCC headed to the Men's mission to serve the meal as well. The LCC team that volunteered at the Men’s Mission included, Lori Da Silva (General Manager), Betty Holme (Director, Corporate Services), Darrin Pollard (Director, Business Development), Chris Waugh (Manager, Event Planning), David DeClark (Director, Event Services) and David Van Eldik (Executive Chef, CCC)
