What is YOUR London?

Last week we blogged about Getting Smart with Conference Information  looking at what technology conferences, conventions and other events can utilize to share information and welcome packages with their delegates. The blog looked at the notion of creating websites or mobile Apps to share all pertinent conference information; giving a brief outline of the sections that could be included.

Information that is provided to conference guests is pretty standard; a schedule, a breakdown of the speakers and sessions, brochures from sponsors and a message or two from conference organizers. On occasion there is some additional information included, but that is a general template for the packages offered to conference attendees.

One element that is not always included in conference information, that can really help enhance the entire experience, is information about what to see and do in the conference destination.

Often with conferences and conventions there are more individuals who are unfamiliar with the city they are in, than people who are. Introduce your delegates to the city that they are in. Provide them with information on what they can do between sessions, or at night when there isn’t an event scheduled; help them have the complete experience and really enjoy themselves.

You’re not only offering your delegates the best experience possible, you are building your attendance for the next time your conference, convention or event happens, even if it is in a different city. If people have an exceptional experience one year, they are more likely to return again the next year and they are more likely to share that experience, convincing others to attend.

We want to help our clients and visitors to our city have a fantastic experience while they are here. We want to provide them with an exclusive insight into the gems this city offers, but to do that we need your help!

We all have certain aspect of the city that we rave about when we are talking to friends and family. As you read that sentence you hopefully thought, “that is absolutely true” and started to think about the places in London you talk endlessly about to people.

We want you to share your favourite places with us to help us create something unique and exclusive for our guests. Answer one, some or all of the questions below, or just add a comment all your own. Also let us know if you agree with what someone else posted!

If you are okay with us possibly quoting your post in some of our materials, please add “This is my London!” to your comment to let us know.

THANK YOU for sharing YOUR city with us!

How about Glastonbury Festival? or Leeds? Their the best music festivals IMHO.

I'm sure those are both great. They are closer to the "other" London though, in England correct? We have some pretty great festivals here too each summer.
